Courtyard by Marriott in Raleigh Sells for $14.5mm

Northstar Realty Finance purchased the Courtyard by Marriott hotel at I-440 and Wake Forest Road in Raleigh for $14.5 million.

Northstar is also looking to acquire 52 hotels in 21 states for $1.1 billion. This sale is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2014 and will include the following properties in North Carolina:

7 Triangle Apartments Sell as Part of $1.8 Billion Portfolio

Bell Partners and DRA Advisors sold 64 apartment communities in eight states for a total of $1.8 Billion. A total of 20,439 units sold indicating an average price per unit of $88,067 per unit.

Jones Lang LaSalle Predicts Strong Growth for Charlotte, Raleigh, Charleston

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) is predicting that Charlotte, Raleigh, Charleston and other Sun Belt cities should grow faster than the national market. National market growth is expected to be 3% +/- over the next two years. Charlotte and other cities in the Carolinas will see strong population increases resulting in growth of 4.0% to 4.5%.
