The Waverly Place retail shopping center, anchored by Whole Foods, sells for $66.2 million. The property contains 198,271 square feet indicating a purchase price of $334 per square foot.

The property originally was purchased in 2008 for $17.3 million. After the 2008 purchase, the property improved from an occupancy rate of 29% to an occupancy rate of 78%. Whole Foods renewed their lease in 2013 for an additional 15 years and spent millions of dollars completing renovations to its facade and parking lot.

A Cinebistro movie theater and restaurant complex is under construction and is expected to open in early to mid 2015. Other new tenants include Walgrees, T.MAC restaurant and sports bar, Toast Cafe, Red Hot & Blue barbecue restaurant, and Triangle Wine Co.
